Glass anemones (Aiptasia)
Aiptasia (Aiptasia sp.) – natural food for Berghia nudibranchs
Aiptasia anemones are among the most well-known pest organisms in saltwater aquariums. They reproduce quickly and uncontrollably, can displace corals and even harm other invertebrates with their potent stinging cells.
Once introduced – usually via live rock, new coral fragements, or imports – they are difficult to completely remove.
Optimal food for Berghia
Since Aiptasia are the sole food source for Berghia nudibranchs (Berghia stephanieae), as a company in the EU, we offer live Aiptasia for continuous feeding.
This way, you can continue to care for your Berghia long-term or specifically pass them on even after successfully combating an Aiptasia infestation.

🍤 Feeding
Aiptasia are not picky and accept all common food types, which makes their keeping in the aquarium particularly easy.
⚠️ Important Notes
-
Aiptasia display aggressive behavior towards other aquarium inhabitants. Therefore, they should not be introduced into tanks with delicate corals or invertebrates, but exclusively used as a food source for Berghia or for research purposes.
