5 Berghia stephanieae – Aiptasia-Eating Nudibranch | Natural Pest Control incl. 2 Egg Clutches
🪸 Berghia Nudibranchs (Berghia stephanieae) – Natural Aiptasia Control
Our Berghia nudibranchs are fully bred in Germany and shipped directly from our facility. Through controlled breeding conditions, we can offer you animals of excellent size, vitality, and quality – at a fair price-performance ratio.
After approximately two months, our Berghia reach a size of about *2.5 cm.
🌿 100% Reef-Safe & Specialized
Berghia are completely reef-safe and feed exclusively on Aiptasia, one of the most common and persistent pest anemones in saltwater aquariums. Other organisms are not eaten, making them ideal for targeted control.
🧪 Clean, Safe Breeding Conditions
Our animals are raised in modern, clean systems without fish or other invertebrates. This minimizes the risk of introducing undesirable algae, pathogens, or parasites.
🌙 Behavior
Berghia are predominantly nocturnal and prefer to retreat during the day. They only leave their hiding places when hungry and can then also be observed foraging during the day.
🪱 Stocking Recommendation
It used to be: 1 Berghia per 50 l of aquarium volume – to prevent them from running out of food too quickly.
Thanks to our new offer, you can now also purchase Aiptasia directly from us. This allows your Berghia to be supplied long-term and not have to be moved immediately once the aquarium is free of glass roses.
✅ Recommended stocking density for severe infestation: up to 5 Berghia per 10 l.
This allows for faster and more effective control of the infestation and makes our larger packages particularly economical.

⚠️ Important Notes
-
Avoid predatory fish: Many wrasses eat Berghia. Although the nudibranchs store the stinging cells of Aiptasia in their cerata, this does not provide reliable protection in the aquarium – especially not in daylight or when they are foraging.

Acclimatize carefully: Please follow the enclosed instructions precisely to avoid endangering the animals during introduction.
